Who is a Weebly to Shopify migration for?
Weebly is a website builder that Square bought in 2018 (Square). Square now builds its online stores in the Square Online builder and points Weebly creators there for its newest website features (Square Support). If your store has to be rebuilt either way, it makes sense to rebuild it on a platform made for selling. These are the four situations we see most.
Weebly stores in the 67 wind down countries
Square is winding down Weebly in 67 countries. Sites there were unpublished on September 27, 2026, and account access ends on December 26, 2026, so download your data before then (Weebly Support).
Stores moving off the Weebly builder
Square offers a guide for Weebly creators to move to the Square Online builder (Square Support). Weebly’s site archive cannot be imported back into Weebly and leaves out blog and store pages (Weebly Support), so the store is rebuilt whichever platform you choose.
Square Online sellers with several locations
Shopify’s own Square import moves products and customers, but sets each price to the highest location price and does not import inventory by location (Shopify Help Center). We plan prices and stock per location before import.
Stores with years of orders and content
Weebly exports orders as CSV or a QuickBooks file (Weebly Support), but Shopify admin has no order import (Shopify Help Center). Order history, blog posts and pages need a planned migration, not a copy and paste.
